RRS Discovery: A ship designed for adventure, is a barque-rigged auxiliary steamship built for Antarctic research, and launched in 1901. She was the last traditional wooden three-masted ship to be built in the United Kingdom.

This award winning attraction tells the story of the iconic ship "Discovery" from her beginnings in Dundee, the amazing Antarctic expedition with Captain Scott and her voyages thereafter. Through the extensive galleries, video and film displays you'll learn so much about the history that sailed with this vessel.
